Falling in love with a Fuji camera, by Bára Pitrová

My name is Bára Pitrova, I am 22 years old and I come from the Czech Republic. I studied University of Economic in Prague. These days I live in the United States, in Denver, Colorado and I work as an Au-pair.

All my life I have been somehow around photographs. When I was little, my dad used to take his camera everywhere and then he would have the photos developed so we could make photo albums. Later, I started to take photos myself and since then I have enjoyed taking pictures of everything around me.

At the beginning I only used my phone, later I bought my first DSLR camera, a Canon. At that time I did not think about any other alternatives. For me, the choice was Canon or Nikon, nothing else. In the end Canon EOS 650D won. I liked to take pictures with my camera better than with the phone. The lens I had was the EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II and I was very satisfied with it. When I went climbing ferratas in the mountains, sea kayaking or when I was in Berlin, Amsterdam and Rome I had my camera with me. I bought a lot of photography books and magazines. I really liked to learn about that stuff.

Then my friend bought a new Fuji X-T10 and showed me how it worked. He let me use his camera and try it. I immediately fell in love with it. I liked the size, retro design, awesome colors of photos and large selection of lenses. I also liked the concept that brings a high quality camera and an amazing community of people. I was so impressed that I started to look for more information about it and I found out that there are a lot of Fujifilm workshops and events in the Czech Republic. So I chose my first Fuji X-E2 and since then I have my new camera everywhere I go. I like to travel, take pictures, share my experience with other people and through the picture to show the world the way I see it. I enjoy all this even more with Fuji.

From time to time I pick some photos and have them developed. I just like to hold my memories in my hand not only see them on screen. This is also the reason why I bought Fujifilm instax. Instax is super cool thing and Instax photos make me always so happy. I like to observe people how their faces look like when they are waiting to see the pictures. I simply love it. I have a lot of fun with Instax and it is perfect for traveling. Perfect camera for me.
