Portraits with Fujifilm XF 80mm F2.8 Macro
For a few years, the macro field of photography was covered only by the XF 60mm F2.4 (announced in January 2012), a very sharp lens, but maybe one of the slowest autofocus among all Fujinon lens range.
This new 80mm f2.8 lens offers true 1:1 macro reproduction, superb optics, OIS and the weather sealing comes as a very much appreciated bonus by all macro enthusiasts and professionals.
And not only by them: it seems this focal length is suitable for portrait photography; the natural question being “how does this new 80mm macro lens do portrait photography?”. David Watts Jr made the tests and explains the outcomes in his video.
