A bridge to connect with all humans
I always consider myself insignificant. I am nothing but a witness to my dreams. Magic of a great photograph gives me reason to live and continue with this addiction.
The camera became a bridge to connect with all humans. Humans, that I love so much. Inability to understand my feelings, photography gave me a deeper sense of who I am. Perceptions became more real, and the camera became an inseparable part of my body (specially my soul ). Very hard to put words where words do not belong, and here I am trying.
Many of my images (to me) are revealing childhood memories, dreams, fears and anxieties. And so I somehow wish that evokes some experience to some viewers like it does for me.
After a decade working with Sinar 4×5, Hasselblad, Nikon and others. Sold it all and decided to try a new line of cameras. I borrowed a Fujifilm X-T1 for the weekend from a friend. Immediately fell in love with it. Next week, I got an X-T2, and soon after, an X-T3. Enjoyed them very much and shooting more than ever in my life. Sold one X-T2 and got one more X-T3. I thought to myself, this is all I need, until I tried the Fuji X-H2. The feeling was the same as when I picked up the X-T1 for the first time, I had to shoot… shoot and shoot.
X-H2 ergonomics, simplicity, long battery life, and faster focusing with several easy-to-use presets gave me great freedom. The results were just amazing. X-T2 and 3 are great cameras, but X-H2 made me more invisible so I can quicker execute what an eye has seen. Exposure and focusing are dead accurate. Preset settings made such a difference. So, no more surprises.
I am always at war with the “obvious”, and somewhat abstract image reaches deeper and stays longer in my memory. Successful photographs should always have more questions than answers.
Sold my welding business and soon moving back to Europe, where I could spend more time with my best friends (Fujifilm cameras and lenses).
Michael Miro Nikolich – I own a small welding business, but above it, I built a photo studio where the magic of life takes place, where I spend quality time. Time worth living.

I use Fuji 23mm f2, and 85mm Viltrox 85mm. Most of images are straight from camera with some crop and exposure adjustment. If color has more punch I use RAW file. Nt much post production at all.
