A gift from Dominik Scharf: The power of prints in a Digital World
The relationship we have with every photographer we have published since the very beginning of this project is something truly special. Beyond the wonderful articles and interviews that reach you, the visible side of this project, there is an entire exchange of emails and messages that sometimes go beyond the scope of published content. We share opinions, brainstorm ideas for new projects, and occasionally have conversations that extend far beyond photography itself.

And sometimes, we receive incredible surprises like this one! Dominik Scharf, a fantastic and highly creative German photographer we featured a few months ago, surprised us with this selection of prints from his portfolio.

We have always had a soft spot for physical objects, the tactile quality of printed photographs, whether in a book, a zine, or as individual prints. For us, paper is and always will be the final destination of a great photograph, meant to be held in our hands, placed in an album, or displayed on our walls. But in an increasingly digital world, it is easy to forget this. That is why Dominik’s thoughtful gift meant so much to us.

Before we finish, we would love to take this opportunity to remind you of the awesome article Dominik wrote for us some time ago, a read that is certainly worth your time.

A heartfelt thank you to all the authors who have shared their stories and articles, to our wonderful readers who support this project, and today, in particular, to Dominik for this gesture we will never forget!
