I like to feel the atmosphere
My name is Alex, I’m from Ukraine, and I’m in love with Fujifilm equipment. In addition to photography, I do 3D modelling.
Nowadays, photography has become more than a hobby, it’s how I live. From my hobbies, I can single out yoga and the practice of standing on nails, meditation. Music is an integral part of my lifestyle. Every time I start doing something important, it’s accompanied by a cool track in the background.
Magnification by photography… it must have always been, right from the moment of birth, except that it was not conscious. Understanding that photography came to me about 6 years ago… it was an attempt to make a beautiful frame on my smartphone… after a while, my consciousness gave a clear guideline that I wanted to plunge into this art and needed a camera. The choice was very difficult, but the winner was the Fujifilm X-T1, so we’ve been taking pictures every day with it for almost a year. Then it appeared my Instax set, and in the plans for the near future, it is a Fuji X-Pro3.
There will always be landscape photography in my heart, but at the moment, I do not want to limit it to a specific style because ideas for creating a frame are everywhere… passers-by, lonely bicycle near the beach, architecture, friends and family.
My camera is always with me, its design is like a work of art, only after looking at my Fuji there is a desire to get together and go shoot something. And of course, I want to highlight the vintage lens from Fujinon, the 35mm 1.6, which was a discovery for me. Before it, I shot only long focal lengths… 50mm, 85 mm, mostly manual, but I fell in love with this little monster from the first frame…
For a long time, I imported all my photos in Jpeg format because right from the camera, they are just right, the colors or exposure were slightly adjusted, but they are cool. Now I shoot only in RAF, and I can confidently say that it is unrealistic, flexible in correction, very soft straight from the camera, in a word – admiration.

Most often I process pictures on my smartphone, but I also do serious projects on my PC.
Lightroom, Lens Distortion and VSCO, my list of applications that help show the world the whole flight of my imagination.
Before working with light and color correction tools, I must adjust each photo to the right size, cropping helps me to emphasize in the photo… then I add one of my basic presets with standard settings for me to contrast and white balance… after that, the game begins with curves, colors and shadows, and of course masks, this tool helps a lot in highlighting the desired detail in the photo.
Thank you for your attention.
With love,
Alex

Excellent work!
I tried researching the FUJINON 35mm 1.6 lens you discussed in the article but I can’t seem to find any information on that lens.
I’m really interested in finding more out about this lens.
