Godox Lux Senior – Probably your next camera flash
When most of us think of a camera flash, we imagine a mini-computer, full of buttons to control a countless amount of settings and options at our disposal. And we give up even before we start. Right?
It is true that current lighting systems allow extraordinary results, whether in the studio or outdoors, and with features unthinkable just a few years ago. And it’s no secret that Godox has contributed significantly to this, offering affordable solutions with top features.
But something was missing. And if you think about it, nothing new had to be invented, because our parents’ generation used them for years, remember? All it took was a flash small enough to be taken anywhere, ready to use in seconds, and simple to operate.
We are delighted to see that Godox surprised us all and, following its recent launch of the Lux Junior, they have just launched the new Lux Senior. A device inspired by vintage camera flashes from the 60s, with a built-in reflector and a simple and intuitive interface.
Bringing together the best of both worlds, it combines the ease of use from the flashes of yesteryear and a modern device with a rechargeable battery via a USB-C port for greater convenience.
Here at Fuji X Passion, we are especially excited about this news, as we realise that the same recipe used by Fuji for more than 10 years has proven to be right. If we think about it, a piece of equipment with modern technology, simple to use, and retro-inspired, is the formula used by Fujifilm since the launch of the X100.
