VIDEO | Interview with Paulo Teixeira, humanitarian photographer
A humanitarian photographer uses cameras as tools to draw the public’s attention to social issues. Paulo Teixeira and his project “Humane Focus” aims to give a voice and make visible all the ones in our society that, despite being under the sight of everyone, remain invisible.
You might remember Paulo from his article Using Photography to Make Social Impact Visible. This time, he was documenting the work of InPulsar, a portuguese NGO that has an important activity with the homeless people in the city of Leiria. And we followed him to learn his way of approaching such a sensitive subject, his involvement with people and his techniques.
In this interview Paulo explains how he interacts with the subjects, why he uses exclusively Fujifilm equipments and what are his preferred cameras and lenses.
